BloomCraft Academy was born from a simple but powerful belief: that anyone with dedication and the right guidance can master the art of floristry. Our founder, Amelia Rourke, began her career as a solo studio florist, known for her sculptural arrangements and commitment to seasonality. As demand for her workshops grew, she realised there was a gap in practical, business-focused floral education in Australia.
Today, our academy occupies a 400-square-metre facility featuring dedicated design studios, a floral library, and our own commercial flower shop – giving students real-world retail experience from day one. We have evolved from a small Perth studio to a nationally recognised institution without ever losing our boutique, student-first ethos.

2012 – A Seed is Planted
Amelia Rourke opens a small floral workshop in her Perth studio, teaching a handful of eager students the basics of floristry.
2016 – Sustainable Shift
We introduce our signature Sustainability module, becoming one of the first academies in Australia to eliminate floral foam from the curriculum.
2019 – New Custom Campus
We move into a purpose-built campus with spacious design labs, a flower library, and a client-facing retail flower shop.
